Dr. Carrie Atwal joined our team in 2019, having moved to Ladner from Victoria. With over 10 years of experience, she thrives working in a high-energy, multi-disciplinary clinic much like Fiskco Health + Performance.
During her education at the University of Victoria, Dr. Atwal developed an interest in alternative medicine and the Chiropractic discipline. In 2005, after obtaining her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, she began to work for a local Chiropractor to better familiarize herself with all aspects of care and running a practice before starting her education in Portland Oregon.
In 2009, Dr. Atwal received her Doctorate of Chiropractic, as well as a second Bachelor degree in Human Biology from the University of Western States. She is well versed in the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of numerous neurological, muscular, and skeletal disorders.
Her approach to treatment includes using diverse methods of adjustments, gentle mobilization, various soft tissue techniques, and patient education including but not limited to: lifestyle modifications, body awareness, and rehabilitating exercises. She also has experience fitting custom orthotics and using different therapeutic modalities.
Dr. Atwal has worked with numerous athletes, ranging from weekend warriors to high-performance athletes. She has worked with several members of Rowing Canada, Camosun Girls Volleyball and many triathletes and cyclists from the Island. However she enjoys working on everyone with any sort of issue, ranging from headaches and jaw pain down to foot issues.
Dr. Atwal assures to develop a well-tailored treatment plan that is specific to each person’s individual needs. Whether it’s a specific condition or wellness care, she will devote sufficient time, energy, and motivation to accelerate and/or maintain one’s health.

Dr. Emily Baas graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario. Following University, she moved to Toronto Ontario where she attended CMCC for 4 more years. During these 4 years she became certified in Cupping and participated in the Level 1 Activator course. After which, she graduated with a Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2017. Following her graduation, Dr. Baas moved from her hometown of Dorchester, Ontario and began the journey of her new life in British Columbia.
From an early age, Dr. Baas was very active in multiple athletic programs. One is track and Field. Dr. Baas was a competitive high jumper. After acquiring back pain at a early age, some physicians stated that she needed to end her high jumping career in order to manage the pain. It was chiropractic care that got her to a healthier state, which aided her in her athletic success in being ranked the 4th top high jumper in all Ontario. From this point on, Dr. Baas knew that she would become a chiropractor to assist others in their road to recovery and overall health and well-being. Dr. Baas has also participated in competitive volleyball, basketball, and soccer.
Dr. Baas has also experienced the benefits of chiropractic care in the rehabilitation process of an ankle surgery in 2009, after tearing multiple ligaments during a volleyball game – and again years later, when recovering from an ACL surgery in 2016, after getting hit in basketball.

Dr. Kristina Cukic was born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia. In 2017, she obtained her Bachelor of Kinesiology degree with a Minor in Psychology from the University of British Columbia. Her athletic background and passion for health and wellness inspired her to pursue a career in chiropractic. In 2021, Dr. Cukic graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Doctor of Chiropractic program from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto.
Dr. Cukic understands the importance of maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle and strives to empower her patients to take an active role in their care. She believes in a patient-centered, evidence-informed approach to identify and treat the underlying cause of various musculoskeletal conditions. Dr. Cukic utilizes a combination of patient education, joint manipulation and mobilization, soft tissue therapy, and exercise prescription to facilitate her patients’ return to their everyday activities and help them achieve their goals. Dr. Shawna Fiske has been exposed to the benefits of chiropractic care from a young age, through observing her father’s experiences. Gord was involved in an unfortunate fishing accident that had severed his arm just below his left elbow. He had experienced phantom limb pain; in his case, excruciating arm pain. Phantom pain is a conscious feeling of a painful limb, after the limb has been amputated. Gord received relief with chiropractic treatment and continued care for years to help manage his chronic pain.
Through her 10 years of post-secondary education, Dr. Fiske earned a Sport Science Diploma from Douglas College and a Kinesiology Degree from the University of the Fraser Valley. With a desire for further learning, she moved to Toronto, Ontario for 4 years to attend the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, the only English speaking chiropractic school in Canada. She graduated in June 2011 with her Doctorate of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree and, upon graduation, moved back to beautiful B.C.
Currently Dr. Fiske is the head chiropractor at Sts’ailes Health Centre which caters specifically to the native population on-reserve in the Chehalis region. She also treats professional Mixed Martial Arts Fighter, Julia Budd, and UFC 24 Champion, Lance Gibson, out of Gibson MMA.

Danielle worked in the financial industry for over 9 years and decided to switch careers after her passion for health, wellness, and athletics led her to Massage Therapy. She originally went to school for Human Kinetics at the University of Western Ontario but had a little detour after that – listening to her gut instinct she decided to take the leap and go back to school full-time at The West Coast College of Massage Therapy to pursue her dream. It wasn’t easy as she has two young children at home, a boy and a girl, but her passion to help people and provide a service she believed in, kept her motivated and succeeding.
She is excited to begin her new career with Fiskco Health + Performance as it aligns perfectly with her values and work ethic. She has seen the true value of Massage Therapy through her athletics, specifically Triathlon. Kourtneay is currently NOT accepting new patients Kourtneay always knew she wanted to go into the field of health care. When she learned about Massage Therapy in high school she knew that was what she wanted to pursue as her career. Being able to help others without the use of medications or machines really spoke to her. She never looked back. Kourtneay graduated from the Registered Massage Therapy program at Langara College in August 2018. During the program, she learned how the body can be effected by mental stress and fatigue and how that stress can manifest into physical pain and discomfort. Kourtneay’s treatments include a focus on breathing, in combination with trigger point release, myofascial release, passive and active stretching, and Swedish massage techniques.

Dr. Wu graduated from a five-year Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine program at PCU College of Holistic Medicine in Burnaby BC. Dr. Wu is a Registered Acupuncturist (R. Ac) and a Registered Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Dr. TCM). Prior to this Dr. Wu graduated from the National Cheng Kung University, in his home country of Taiwan, with a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy as well as a master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering. This education afforded him to gain 13 years experience working with mental health, neurological conditions, musculoskeletal pain, activity analysis and skill training for activities of daily living.
Dr. Wu focuses his current practice towards treating patients who suffer from a variety of different pain syndromes, neurological and muscular conditions, as well as increasing general health.
